From Street art to Web3 and everything in between.
Our Artist 0161cassius.
A Kind soul, a naturally anti-social Lizard, tormented by his continuous creative thought.
As a kid growing up in Manchester in the 90s with a professional boxer as a dad, he was pushed towards Boxing and playing the trumpet. Every night he would go home and draw, although his dad used to remind him that artists don't make money... he wasn't wrong kek.
2011-2014
2011 was the year he found his now fiancé, it's also the year his dad passed away on Christmas Day. 3 years of struggle came after, that his Mrs pulled him through. In 2014 He decided life is too short to be stuck in a 9-5 he hates, he's going to chase happiness over money.
When is Cass happiest... when he's creating.
Learn by Doing.
2014 He opened up his customisation business, where he customised hats trainers and clothing. Working out of his girlfriends bedroom with nothing to his name proved tricky. He struggled along gassing himself and his partner out with the airbrush. Selling by word of mouth and social media was enough to help save to move into his own house with the Mrs.
insatiable creativity.
The way the artist's brain works annoys him sometimes, if he has a great idea, that idea will plague his mind until he's created it. Over the next few years the artist put his hand to woodworking, airbrushing, resin works and more, creating work that has shipped all around the world.
The Land of Digital
2020 - Now, he got hold of his ipad pro and his art went digital. He stepped into the land of web3 and lost all his money. He created a collection of Doodle Bee NFTs that he gave 99% away free, to introduce newcomers to NFTs in a safe way. He created 3d models, leading to physical resin collectibles. He did art exhibitions with those physicals. He joined an art studio providing traits and art for numerous web3 projects.
He did all this with his demanding 9-5 asking for 12-15 hour shifts for no extra money... kek
So that brings us to where we are now. He's about to turn 34, its time to put together a single body of cohesive work. One with clear branding and room to grow into something great. Something he can leave behind when he's gone. Most of all it's time to finally leave uncle Sam's slavery. For a life that doesn't deteriorate his mental health, a life of KEK.
KEK Art
KEK artwork pulls from all the experience the artist has picked up over the years. His love of 90s cartoons and Streetwear can be seen in the lizard characters. The colour pallet uses soft colours and has its 3 chosen colour highlights working to add vibrancy throughout the collection. This pallet is consistent through all of KEKs branding and products.
KILL EM' KINDLY
